The Airline Transport Pilot – Single Engine Land course is for pilots who currently hold a GACA issued Commercial Pilot certificate – Single Engine Land Instrument Airplane ratings and who wish to operate as a Commander for an Air Operator.
Since this course is a proficiency based, the total course hours will be determined on the basis of individual student performance. The ground and/or flight training will be based on the concept of ‘train to standard’ and the total number hours required will fluctuate based on the skill and aptitude of the individual.
The total cost for an Airline Transport Pilot course will depend on the actual hours of flight and/or ground training used.
The Airline Transport Pilot course will be delivered only under Part 61 regulations.
Course completion requirements
Must hold at-least a current commercial pilot certificate, single engine land and an instrument rating; must have logged at least a total of 1500 hours of flight time, which must include at least 500 hours of cross country flight time, 100 hours of night flight time, and 75 hours of instrument time.
